The Situation & Advice is a 3-card layout read as one connected story rather than a list of separate cards. Start from the first position, name the theme you see, and only then move to the next card. Because each position frames its card differently — past, obstacle, advice, outcome — the same card can carry a different message depending on where it lands. Take notes as you go; the pattern across positions is where the real guidance appears.
Before you draw, spend a slow breath on your question and phrase it in the present tense. Write the cards down in position order, mark which are upright or reversed, and notice how many Major Arcana appear — several Majors usually signal a turning point rather than an everyday fluctuation. Finish by summarising the whole spread in two sentences of practical, checkable next steps.
